Hi! I'm glad to be back with movie reviews. I actually saw this movie a couple weeks ago and thought the acting was phenomenal. The cast was amazing. I almost didn't recognize Debra Winger and Evan Rachel Wood was fabulous as usual. The movie centers around a family of squatters that have made a living out of scandal, homelessness, and dishonesty. The worst part is that they raised their daughter to be the same and so much so that she does not know what a normal life is. During the movie, they meet Gina Rodriguez's character and she teaches them a thing or two about honesty, commitment and humility. The audience gets the impression that they are turning over a new leaf but a huge plot twist at the end changes that theory. The cast reels you in to this movie but there was something a little too superficial about the plot. Nevertheless, go see it for yourself and you be the judge. It may be difficult to find a movie theater these days, but if you are in the Chicagoland area the Pickwick in Park Ridge and the AMC theaters are open. A movie night is the way to go to get back to some sense of normalcy in what has been a very difficult time. I hope everyone is well and I look forward to reading your reviews.
Original it was. Great acting...that’s about it...
